Your reputation affects how monsters and creatures they interact with you. There are several reputation levels. You can see your current reputation by pressing “C” to see the screen of your character and then clicking on the tab reputation. KOS mean “attack the landfill.”
Affect one faction can affect other they are connected. Kill a goblin in Gadzetzan angered the goblins of Ratchet and Booty Bay, for example.
